WE START WITH HERITAGE COFFEE PLANTS
Our coffee is 100% Arabica both Bourbon and Typica verital. The plants are direct descendants, cuttings from Louis XIV’s royal stock, brought to the Dominican Republic (DR) in 1720. The coffee flourished. The offspring of those original plants grace our forested slopes, where some of the oldest coffee farms in the New World produce extraordinary coffee that reflects this remarkable heritage.

After many years of farming in the Dominican Republic and exporting our coffee into the European and Asian markets, we introduced the best Island Coffee in the world to the US market in 2009 with great success. In our second year of operation as a green wholesale specialty coffee importer and distributer, we've partnered with the most experienced artisan roasters from New York City to San Diego, California. 

Traditional, Ecologically-Responsible Methods

We nurture the coffee organically and without pesticides. Wastes from the milling process are turned into rich compost used to fertilize the plants. Our coffee is grown on steep hillsides in the deep shade of mature groves on private estate farms. These farms support several generations of growers who bring decades of experience to the task of cultivating coffee the traditional way. Our specialty coffee is picked by hand. Highly skilled pickers remove only the red cherries on each pass through the coffee during the extended harvest season. This labor-intensive approach insures the highest quality product.
